Manual therapist & teacher
Josef Andersen. Sports manual therapy.
His own method for sport: the joint, mobilized by hand, while the athlete moves. Taught to clinicians around the world, and brought in on the cases that will not resolve.
Severe injuries, filmed before and after. Open one to read the case and watch what changes in the room.

Refined over fifteen years, simple to state and hard to master. Built for athletes, in the loaded positions where they get hurt.
The restriction standard rehab walks past. Assessed by hand, in motion, not on a table.
A precise glide held on the joint while the patient performs the movement that used to hurt.
Often weight-bearing, often within minutes, then loaded the same session to consolidate the gain.
The point is not one treatment. It is a method a professional can carry into their own practice.

Watch the casesThe clinicians who send him their hardest cases, and the professionals who travel from across borders to learn the method first-hand.
Brought in on the cases that did not resolve elsewhere, for athletes and clinics across borders.
He developed sports manual therapy, the sport-specific method clinicians now travel to learn.
One of roughly fifty internationally accredited teachers of the method, teaching across more than ten countries.

Josef Andersen has spent fifteen years on the athletes that clubs had given up on. A Master of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia, he is one of roughly fifty internationally accredited teachers of the method, and built sports manual therapy, his own sport-specific approach, on that foundation. He has taught it to clinicians across more than ten countries.
He treats at the highest level and teaches sports manual therapy to the professionals who want to do the same. His clinical work, filmed case by case, is the source of everything he teaches.
