Four years of hip pain, after two failed surgeries
Anne Sofie, a physiotherapy student and former competitive parkour athlete.
The case
She injured her left hip in parkour in 2011. Two surgeries, in 2011 and 2014, did nothing for the pain, and prolonged physiotherapy did not help. After more than four years of daily pain with stairs, cycling and shopping, she had given up on returning to sport and was hoping only for relief. The film shows the first session: screening, treatment and retest.
What changed
The prognosis given on film: if the change holds at the second visit, a pain-free daily level within three to five weeks and a gradual return to sport within two to four months, in no more than seven to ten sessions.
