Jacob, 21, a former high-level soccer player and swimmer.
The case
A car accident changed his life. Over twenty-four months he was through medical, neurological, physical and psychological investigation, with a disc prolapse at L5-S1 and a sight deficit. Neck pain, daily headache, light and sound sensitivity, dizziness on turning, limited neck movement, arm symptoms on both sides, low-back and left-leg pain. He was paraplegic for a time after the crash, and recovered.
